About Me
My name is Ian Richardson, and I am a senior at Windom Area High School. I have been in robotics for the last 3 years. I joined the CEO program so I could take what I learned and become an entrepreneur myself.
About My Business
Hi, I’m Ian, and I started Datum 3D Prints to design practical solutions to everyday problems. This business focuses on creating custom 3D printed parts, especially replacement pieces that are difficult or impossible to find. Many products break because of one small plastic component that is no longer manufactured. Instead of replacing the entire product, Datum 3D Prints designs and produces precise replacement parts that restore it to working condition. I also work with individuals and local businesses to design custom parts, tools, and small batch products when a unique solution is needed. Have a broken part or an idea that needs to become real? Ian Richardson's DISC Profile
The higher the stress, the less you are likely to hear and the more you are likely to act or command. You are very resourceful and can adapt quickly and easily. You are adventuresome in trying new ideas and innovations. You would rather focus on the big picture, not the details which you can view as minutia. You tend to be very direct and forthright in communicating with others. You desire freedom from having to deal with detail; it restrains your effectiveness.
You tend to not be very organized or attentive to details at all. You express or talk about your emotions openly on the up-side or down-side. You really like meeting new people and easily interact. No one is a stranger. You enjoy opportunities to motivate others. At times, your desire to express your opinion and interact with others may come across as self-promoting by the quieter people you know. You have a very high trust level for others, but this could actually result in you being "burned."
You prefer a moderately structured environment, not too much - not too little. You can multitask fairly well. You appreciate the need of others to have more freedom and less structure. You prefer a faster paced environment, but one that is not frantic or chaotic. You work well in a variety of environments and on a wide selection or projects or tasks. Unexpected events don't drive you crazy. They can be something of a welcomed change.
To you, the end usually justifies the means. To you, rules are guidelines, not concrete. You are fine with change when it is clear how it will improve efficiency. You may be perceived as being non-committal by some when it comes to deciding on how to proceed. You might be perceived as a bit of a rule-bender by some on the team. You like taking your own way to the results.
